As part of The Big Help Out they’re opening three of their shops on Bank Holiday Monday (8th May) so people can learn about the opportunities on offer.
Ashton – 9.30am-12.30pm
Leigh Lord St – 9.45am-3.45pm
Shevington – 10am-2pm

Jo Anne. I admire your work for promoting the hospice...We held a charity night at St Aidens club winstanley last friday. Proceeds towards W + L hospice in memory of my brother Steven who passed away there last September ..On the raffle alone £1,300 was raised

Today - Fri 7th July - on BBC1 at 6.30pm, NW Tonight will feature the hospice gardens and show their importance in helping patients and their families. Kay Crewdson is also going to present the weather from the hospice.
The programme will then be available via iPlayer till 6.57pm on Sat 8th Jul.
The hospice has been asked to be a part of BBC NW Tonight’s show garden ‘The Northern Star’ at the RHS Tatton Flower Show, which is held between 19th and 23rd July.

It’s 40 years ago today - 1st Aug - that our local hospice first opened its doors!
Back then, its premises was a former Poolstock vicarage overlooking Scotmans Flash.
The current building in Hindley was purpose-built and opened in 1997.
